Terms of Service
Services are provided by Linda Groebel (ABN:XX), operating as a sole trader in Queensland.
A copy of the Terms & Conditions will be provided to you before or at the beginning of the visit, and you will be asked to review, sign, and date it for both your records and mine.
1. About the Service
I provide friendly, in-home help with everyday technology such as phones, computers, printers, Wi-Fi, smart TVs and online accounts. My goal is to help you understand and solve technology problems step by step and give you the confidence to use your devices on your own.
2. Nature of the Service
The service is intended to provide guidance and assistance with everyday technology, not professional IT system administration or hardware repair. While I will always do my best to help solve your issue, I cannot guarantee that every problem can be fully resolved. Some issues may require assistance from the device manufacturer, your internet provider, a repair technician or another specialist service.
3. Passwords & Personal Information
For your security and privacy: I will not store your passwords and I will not keep records of sensitive personal information. You should enter passwords yourself whenever possible. 4. Data & Devices
Technology work can sometimes involve risks such as unexpected software behaviour, settings changes or data loss. It is recommended that important data (such as photos or documents) is backed up before the appointment. I cannot accept responsibility for data loss, device failure, or pre-existing technical problems.
5. Advice & Guidance
Any advice provided during an appointment is based on the information available at the time. I cannot guarantee outcomes and I am not responsible for any actions taken by the client after the appointment, including changes made independently later. You are responsible for decisions made regarding repairs, replacements, or changes to your devices.
6. Online Safety & Scams
If we discuss online safety, scams, or suspicious emails or messages, I will provide general guidance and awareness advice. However, I cannot guarantee whether any communication or website is safe or fraudulent.
7. Limitation of Liability
By using this service, you agree that I cannot be held responsible for device damage not caused directly by negligence, loss of data, existing technical issues, problems with third-party services, apps or websites and outcomes resulting from actions taken after the appointment.
8. Payment
An invoice will be provided after the appointment. Payment is due within 7 days of the invoice date. Payment can be made using the methods outlined on the invoice. Cash payments are not accepted. My standard service rate is $120 per hour. A minimum booking time of one hour applies for in-home visits. If additional time or services are required during the appointment, this will always be discussed with you before continuing.
8. Cancellations
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please provide as much notice as possible. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may incur a 50% cancellation fee.
9. Safety & Respect
I reserve the right to end a visit at any time if I feel unsafe or uncomfortable. Respectful behavior is expected during appointments.
10. Acceptance of Terms
